Although this isn’t our first award, or the tenth….. each one feels like the first, and it is always a great feeling to be recognized for the efforts and talents that consume our lives.

This was a “voted on by readers” type of thing and although we did little to promote ourselves, our clients and friends showed up in a big way. Thanks to every one of you that voted and to all of you who have come into our little (gigantic) tattoo shop.

After studying fine arts and figure drawing at several Universities across New York, Matt Tyszka started professionally tattooing around the U.S. in 2003 and has established an impressive portfolio with amazing portrait, realism, black and grey and color pieces.

2012 makes us an even 10 years in business! Good people, from all over the world, have shared moments with the family and for that, we thank you til the end of time. As many Pino Bros Ink clients know, due to the shops high demand, our artists are booked out months in advance. Now is your chance to get a custom tattoo THIS WEEK with a distinguished artist known all over the nation.

Our recent attentions have gone to the finally concluded downstairs expansion project, and we are now free to explore a renovation upstairs.   Starting January 1st you will be seeing a whole new shop look and we will most likely be renovating the website to match, so watch for that.

Much was covered including striking a balance between your work and your life and the whole thing is due to be released on iTunes U in January in 2012. We will keep this updated as to when it becomes available.

Each month a new subject is chosen and each artist creates their rendition of that subject. At the end of the month everyone gets back together to show off what they created.

These shots are some highlight pics from our first batch of 16. Everyone had a good time and much was learned so starting next month we will be doing another cycle.

This month’s theme is “Halloween” and for this one there is not theme at all, and each artist is free to do whatever they choose. Hopefully we will be posting much more about these nights including more pics, videos, and hopefully a full list of all the projects in the upcoming cycle.

So stay tuned because soon we will be bringing you more coverage of these excellent art projects.

First and foremost the focus is now squarely rested where is should be, which is on the work. Our homepage now features the 6 most recent additions from any artist, this will allow you to quickly see any changes or additions since your last visit (come often). Another great way to view our work is in the Gallery. A full-stream thumbnail page that features artwork by all of our artists and can be instantly sorted to individual artists at the click of a button. Lastly, each artist has a feature page that displays their portfolio as well.

Secondly, we have taken steps to integrate this site fully with social media. This means we have upgraded our Facebook page and added plenty of new art and pictures of us doing what we do best… running a first class tattoo destination. We are also going to dive back into our Twitter with both feet, providing live updates from the shop as well as any related (or even unrelated) events.So make sure to Follow Us or Like Us or both to get access to even more great Pino related things.

Finally, we would like to thank all of you who support us over the years, the positive word-of-mouth reputation you have provided us has been the foundation of Pino Bros Ink and we appreciate it.
