Nov 5th – 10th – Pino Bros Ink presents Guest Artist Matt Tyszka

Remodel on the Horizon

1100 Cambridge St. It is the storefront that’s been home Pino Bros Ink since the beginning, ten long years (prior to 2001 tattooing was not permitted in the state of Massachusetts). Collaboration: Henry Darger

We here at Pino Bros Ink are very fortunate to have the opportunity to work on amazing clients and incredible projects everyday. One of those projects is a collaborative effort on a full leg sleeve based on the paintings of Henry Darger. The work is being performed by Dierdre Doyle and Bob Vanderberg, the piece is still in progress but hopefully it will be in our portfolio section sooner than later. SMFA welcomes Pino Bros Ink

Recently we were honored to speak at the School for the Museum of Fine Arts. The discussion was on the subject of building a career in the arts and tattoo artist Dierdre Doyle and co-owner Frank Pino were invited to share their experiences with the class. Much was covered including striking a balance between your work and your life and the whole thing is due to be released on iTunes U in January in 2012. We will keep this updated as to when it becomes available.

Art Crit Night – Cycle 2

Once a month some of the artists here at Pino Bros like to get together with some of the other great tattoo artists around Boston for Art Crit. It is a monthly art project and artist meet-up where a list of subjects is created in advance by participating artists. Each month a new subject is chosen and each artist creates their rendition of that subject. At the end of the month everyone gets back together to show off what they created.
